Biography
Jump forward a few years to high school. Eric played keyboard in an industrial band. The band was successful on the local level, but it was in the studio with this band that Erics real love of music began to shine. Eric fell in love with the production and studio side of the industry, quickly putting away his keyboard for a mixing board. While in college, Eric started doing a radio show his freshman year. This led into a position as the Production Director for the station.
As production director Eric got his first keys to a recording studio. Recording bands, DJing and sound for film became Erics focus. All the while, he continued to host a weekly 4 hour radio show that featured local and regional guest DJs in Dayton, OH. Hosting weekly house parties ensured that Eric knew how to read and work a crowd. After college, Eric returned to his home town, Chicago, for an internship at a major recording studio. Experience with Twista, Kanye West, Ice Cube, KMFDM and Cold Play has given Eric the studio knowledge and confidence needed to run his own recording sessions.
Currently Eric works out of Joyride Studios in Chicago. While honing his studio skills, he never forgot the wheels of steel, although, after 5 years of playing strictly vinyl, he adopted CDs into his skill set.It was at this point where Eric was able to push his skills further. CDs allowed him to define a signature sound by remixing tracks on the fly, creating a new mix each and every time he plays.
